Lip Blush

  • Lip blush, also known as lip tattoo or lip tint, is a popular cosmetic procedure designed to enhance the natural beauty of the lips by adding subtle color and definition. It has gained prominence in the world of semi-permanent makeup and is a technique that creates a long-lasting, yet natural-looking tint on the lips. Here is a description of what lip blush is:

Lip blush is a semi-permanent makeup technique that involves the application of pigment to the lips to achieve a more defined, colorful, and youthful appearance. Unlike traditional lipstick or lip gloss, which may require frequent reapplication throughout the day, lip blush offers a longer-lasting solution. This technique is especially popular for those who desire well-defined, subtly colored lips without the daily hassle of maintaining their makeup.

  • -Lips appear more defined without surgery or fillers

-Restores color to lips that have become pale

    -Corrects Blurred lip lines

    -Covers scars and hypopigmentation

    -No more “bleeding” lipsticks

-Make lips appear fuller and larger

-Eliminates the daily use of pencils to outline, fill-in, or reshaping lip borders

  • Of all permanent makeup procedures, the permanent lip enhancement procedure is the most sensitive. However, we do numb your lips prior to and throughout the procedure with a highly effective topical anesthetic for your comfort. Pre-Care Instructions are designed and MUST BE STRICTLY FOLLOWED to limit bleeding and skin sensitivities during the service. Excessing bleeding and sensitivity during the procedure will dilute and expel the pigment color and lead to poor results.

-Having this service performed during your menstrual cycle may increase discomfort during your procedure.

-If you are a frequent smoker or "sun worshipper" the topical anesthetics used during the treatment may not last as long and also can lead to poor retention and poor lasting results.

  • Your lips will look slightly larger than normal and look as though you may have had a slight lip filler injection. The degree of this varies from person to person. For most clients, the swelling happens in a few hours. However, the lip color will look quite dark, like lipstick. You need to know that the size of your lips will shrink back to normal and the color will significantly fade up to 50% within the first 5 days. You will lose color on the inside of your lips first, the edges last. Right after the procedure lips normally feel dry, chapped, tight and tender to the touch.

  • Expect moderate swelling, usually one to three days following the procedure. Scabs will make the lips feel thick. Lips will fade up to 50% after the first 5 days. While healing, the tattoo will look spotty. This is due to oxidation of the pigment and the redness of the skin. Two or three permanent makeup applications may be required to achieve the desired results. An Enhancement Session visit approximately 8-12 weeks after your first initial appointment is necessary in order to achieve that richness of color, achieve symmetry, and density in the shape.

  • You MUST understand that if you have EVER had chicken pox, a fever blister, or a cold sore, you MUST take Zovirax, Famvir or Valtrex or other anti-viral pre and post procedure to help prevent the outbreak of cold sores. There are NO exceptions to this rule! If you do have an outbreak, it will usually occur on the third (3rd) day following lip color application. This rule holds true for each and every time you have any amount of permanent lip tinting applied. You will need to call your physician in order to obtain your prescription strength anti-viral medication. You must inform them of your decision to have your lips permanently tinted and they will need to call your prescription in for you to pick up at your pharmacy.

  • Getting lip blush (a form of semi-permanent makeup for the lips) after getting lip filler is perfectly fine and can be a great combination to enhance the appearance of your lips.

Enhancing Lip Shape and Color: Lip fillers are typically used to add volume and shape to the lips, while lip blush involves adding a natural-looking tint to the lips. These two procedures can complement each other well. Lip blush can enhance the color and definition of your lips, making them appear even more beautiful and full.

Personalized Results: The combination of lip filler and lip blush can be tailored to your specific preferences and facial features. This allows you to achieve a customized and natural-looking result that suits your unique style and enhances your facial harmony.

It’s recommended to wait at least 4-6 weeks before getting lip blush after lip fillers.

  • Lip Blush requires frequent touch-ups compared to other permanent makeup procedures due to the fact that the lips are very vascular and the body metabolizes the lip color at a rapid rate compared to other body parts which are not as vascularized.

  • Bleeding during the procedure: Excessive bleeding during the tattooing procedure will reduce the amount of pigment absorption. Caffeine, alcohol, certain food or drink, and medications act as blood-thinners and should avoided 48 hours prior to your appointment. For a full list of what to avoid 48 hours to your appointment click here. Sun exposure: The sun will extremely soften the look of your tattoo, and may also change the color appearance of the pigment. Lifestyle: smokers, "sun worshippers", or anyone with skin that is in a state of distress may have less desirable results. It is highly recommended that you avoid SUN and TANNING BED exposure for 30 days BEFORE and AFTER your procedure. If you show up for your appointment with a new tan or a sunburn, you will need to reschedule and will forfeit your deposit. As your skin exfoliates from a sunburn, it will take the pigment with it.

  • As a precaution, we do not perform any cosmetic tattooing on pregnant or nursing women.

  • You must be 18 years or older to receive any type of cosmetic tattooing.

    • Apply ointment on lips several times a day. This should be done at least 10 days post treatment.

    • Do not allow lips to become dry, this may interfere with healed cold. During the day if lips feel dry, apply a light layer of ointment. Make sure to dab/press onto skin, do not rub in.

    • Do not pick. Itching is normal

    • No soaps, cleansing creams, or chemicals on lips. Wash your face carefully avoiding the lip area for 10 days.

    • Avoid water on the new pigmented areas as much as possible for the first 7 days. (When showering, washing face, etc. have ointment on the pigmented area to protect lips from water.

    • Do not expose the lips to direct sunlight or tanning beds for at least 4 weeks. This is new skin and will sunburn easily and direct sun prematurely may also cause scarring and alter pigment color.

Eyelash Extensions

  • Eyelash Extensions are individual strands of synthetic fibers made to replicate a natural eyelash. When applied, eyelash extensions lengthen and thicken your own natural eyelashes. The single strands are applied to each individual eyelash, one by one. With proper application, lash extensions look and feel completely natural.

  • When applied by one of our artists, eyelash extensions will last the length of the natural growth cycle of your own eyelashes. Depending on your activity, after care, and day-to-day routine, refills should only be required every 2 to 4 weeks.

  • Eyelash extensions are safe when applied our trained and certified professionals. Luxe Esthetics uses high-quality materials and adhesives designed for use around the eyes, follow strict hygiene practices, and prioritize client comfort. Adherence to these standards minimizes the risk of adverse reactions or complications, making eyelash extensions a safe cosmetic enhancement option when performed by experienced technicians in a controlled, clean, and well-maintained environment.

  • The suggested time frame is 24 hours

  • To maintain the integrity of your newly applied eyelash extensions, it's crucial to avoid getting them wet during the initial 24 hours after the procedure. After the 24 hours period, the adhesive used to apply your eyelash extensions is completely dry and fully bonded to your lashes you are able to get back to your routine. Refraining from steam rooms, saunas and certain facials is not recommended since it may loosen the bond and curl of the eyelash extensions.

    • Avoid getting your eyelash extensions wet for 24 hours

    • Avoid hot steam, sauna, heat (blow dryer, oven, grill etc.)

    • Do not perm eyelashes or manually curl

    • Brush with a clean mascara wand daily

    • Wash your eyelash extensions with a gentle lash cleanser and dry daily

    • Avoid mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow, and oil products

  • The duration required for a full set of eyelash extensions can vary depending on several factors, including the client's natural lash condition, the desired style, and the experience of the lash artist. On average, a full set of eyelash extensions can take anywhere from 1.5 to 2.5 hours to complete. During this time, a lash artist will attach individual extensions to each natural lash, meticulously crafting the desired length and volume. Some clients may opt for a more natural look with fewer extensions, which can be quicker to apply, while others seeking a more dramatic effect with a fuller set may require more time. The key is to work with your lash artist to communicate your preferences, so they can provide you with the best results tailored to your desired style and comfort.

  • Preparing for an eyelash extension service is essential to ensure a successful and comfortable experience. Before your appointment, start by removing any eye makeup and cleansing your lashes thoroughly with a gentle, oil-free cleanser. Avoid using oil-based makeup removers or moisturizers around the eye area, as they can interfere with the adhesion of the extensions. It's also a good idea to shower and wash your hair before your appointment, as you'll need to keep your lashes dry for the first 24 hours after the procedure. If you wear contact lenses, switch to glasses for the day, as you'll need to remove them during the service. Lastly, arrive at your appointment with clean, makeup-free eyes and a clear understanding of the desired lash style you want, so you can communicate your preferences with your lash artist effectively. Proper preparation will help ensure the best results and a more comfortable experience during your eyelash extension service.

  • Eyelash extension removal is an easy 30 appointment to safely and gently detach the extensions from your natural lashes. This typically involves the use of a specialized eyelash extension adhesive remover, which is applied to the base of the extensions without touching the skin or natural lashes. The adhesive remover breaks down the bond between the extension and the natural lash, allowing the extensions to slide off easily. Proper removal ensures that your natural lashes remain intact and undamaged.

Ombre Powder Brows

  • Ombre powder brows, also known as powdered or shading brows, is a popular semi-permanent makeup technique for enhancing the appearance of eyebrows. Unlike traditional microblading, which involves creating hair-like strokes with a handheld tool, ombre powder brows use a machine to deposit small dots of pigment across the eyebrow area, gradually building up a soft, gradient effect. The result is a more defined and filled-in appearance with a gradual transition from lighter to darker shades, resembling the look of eyebrow makeup, such as powder or pencil. Ombre powder brows offer a long-lasting solution for those seeking well-defined and low-maintenance eyebrows. The technique is customizable, allowing clients to choose the intensity and shape of their brows, making it a versatile choice for a range of preferences.

  • The main difference between ombre powder brows and microblading lies in the application technique and the final result. Ombre powder brows use a machine to create a soft, powdered effect by depositing small dots of pigment in the eyebrow area, gradually building a gradient from lighter to darker shades. This technique offers a filled-in, makeup-like appearance that is more defined and suitable for those who prefer a polished look. On the other hand, microblading is a manual method that uses a handheld tool to create fine, hair-like strokes in the skin, mimicking the appearance of natural eyebrow hairs. Microblading provides a more realistic, hair-by-hair appearance and is ideal for those seeking a very natural brow look. Both techniques are semi-permanent and require touch-ups over time, but the choice between them often depends on individual preferences and desired results.

  • Ombre powder brows typically last for an extended period, generally ranging from one to three years, depending on various factors such as individual skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. Over time, the pigment gradually fades, and touch-up appointments may be necessary to maintain the desired color and shape. The longevity of ombre powder brows makes them a popular choice for those seeking a semi-permanent solution for well-defined, hassle-free eyebrows. Proper care, sun protection, and adherence to recommended touch-up schedules can help maximize the lifespan of ombre powder brows and ensure they continue to look their best.

  • A topical anesthetic will be applied before and during the procedure to minimize any discomfort. The pain level is minimal to none for most clients.

  • We highly recommend booking an appointment at least 2 weeks prior to a special event. The average healing time is about 7-14 days but for few, may take longer. No down time is needed. You can certainly go to work the day after. Touch ups are recommended for optimal results and are booked as needed.

 Micro Needling

  • Micro-needling (also known as Collagen Induction Therapy or CIT) allows for a controlled process of the skin’s self-repair mechanism by creating micro “injuries” in the skin, which triggers new collagen production. Micro-needling is utilized to treat the appearance of fine lines, acne scars, minor trauma scars, hypo/hyperpigmentation, and improving the skin’s overall appearance. To enhance results, micro-needling may be combined with the use of PRP, topical gels, creams, and/or serums to further aid in the overall appearance of the skin

  • Micro-needling offers several benefits, including the stimulation of collagen production, which can improve skin texture, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, stretch marks, and minimize the appearance of scars. This minimally invasive procedure is also effective in addressing various skin concerns, promoting a more youthful and rejuvenated complexion, and typically involves minimal downtime, making it a popular choice for skin rejuvenation.

  • While micro-needling can sound rather daunting, the needles that we use during the procedure are microscopic. The treatment can cause minimal discomfort and has been said to feel like a vibrating cats tongue. Areas with deeper imperfections may cause more discomfort than areas with superficial imperfections. We ensure that our patients are comfortable throughout the entire procedure. A topical numbing agent is applied 30 minutes prior to Micro-needling to aid any discomfort during the procedure.

  • The time it takes to see noticeable results from micro-needling can vary from person to person and depends on several factors, including the specific conditions being treated, the depth and frequency of the treatments, and your individual skin's response. In general, it can take several weeks to a few months to see significant improvements in your skin's texture, tone, and other concerns.

Here's a general timeline for when you might expect to see results from micro-needling:

    1. Immediate Effects: After a micro-needling session, you may notice some immediate changes like mild redness and swelling. Your skin may also appear plumper and more radiant due to increased blood flow.

    2. Short-Term Improvements: Over the first few days to a week, any redness and swelling should subside. You might notice a slight improvement in skin texture and tone.

    3. Longer-Term Effects: The collagen production stimulated by micro-needling continues to work beneath the surface, and you may start to see gradual improvements in your skin over the following weeks. This can include reduced fine lines and wrinkles, improved skin texture, and a reduction in the appearance of scars.

    4. Multiple Sessions: For more dramatic and long-lasting results, multiple micro-needling sessions spaced several weeks apart are often recommended. Your skin's response will accumulate over these sessions.

    5. Full Results: It may take several months after your last micro-needling session to see the full extent of the results, as collagen production and skin regeneration are ongoing processes.

Keep in mind that individual responses to micro-needling can vary, and it's important to follow your skincare professional's recommendations for post-treatment care and maintenance. Also, remember to protect your skin from the sun and use appropriate skincare products as advised to maximize the benefits of the treatment.

  • The longevity of results from micro-needling can vary from person to person and depends on several factors, including your skin's natural aging process, the specific condition being treated, the depth and intensity of the treatments, and how well you maintain your skin afterward. In general, the results of micro-needling are not permanent, but they can last for an extended period with proper care.

Here are some factors to consider:

    1. Maintenance: Micro-needling results are typically long-lasting if you follow a recommended treatment plan. A series of sessions spaced several weeks apart is often recommended to achieve and maintain the best results.

    2. Collagen Production: Micro-needling stimulates collagen production, which helps improve skin texture, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and minimize the appearance of scars. The results can last for several months to a year or more as long as the collagen continues to work beneath the skin's surface.

    3. Skin Care: Proper post-treatment care and maintenance are crucial for prolonging the results. This includes using sunscreen to protect your skin from UV damage, following a suitable skincare routine, and avoiding behaviors that can harm your skin, such as smoking.

    4. Lifestyle and Aging: Over time, the natural aging process of your skin will continue, and you may experience new signs of aging. As a result, you might need maintenance treatments to sustain the benefits of micro-needling.

    5. Individual Variation: The duration of results can vary from person to person. Some individuals may experience longer-lasting effects than others, depending on their skin type, age, and overall health.

  • Micro-needling is a versatile cosmetic procedure that can be used to treat various areas of the body. It is primarily used on the face, but it can also be applied to other body areas to address various skin concerns. Common areas that can be treated with micro-needling include:

    1. Face: Micro-needling is frequently used on the face to improve skin texture, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, minimize the appearance of acne scars, and address concerns like enlarged pores and uneven skin tone.

    2. Neck: The neck is a common area to treat for signs of aging, such as sagging skin and wrinkles. Micro-needling can help tighten and rejuvenate the skin in this area.

    3. Décolletage (Chest): Micro-needling can be used to improve the appearance of the skin on the chest area, reducing the signs of sun damage and fine lines.

    4. Hands: The hands are another area where signs of aging can be prominent. Micro-needling can help with skin texture and the reduction of age spots.

    5. Stretch Marks: Micro-needling can be effective in reducing the appearance of stretch marks on various body areas, such as the abdomen, thighs, and buttocks.

    6. Acne Scars: Micro-needling can be used to treat acne scars on the face and other areas of the body.

    7. Body Scars: It can also be applied to reduce the appearance of scars from injuries or surgeries on the body.

    8. Other Areas: Micro-needling can theoretically be used on other body areas, but the treatment should be discussed with a qualified practitioner to ensure it's safe and effective for your specific concern.

Micro-needling can be performed using different devices and techniques, and the depth and intensity of the treatment will vary depending on the area and the specific skin concern being addressed.

  • There is technically no downtime required after Micro-needling. After your treatment, your skin may be red. This is normal and to be expected. Redness usually lasts from one to 24 hours. You may also have a little swelling in some areas. A few days after your treatment your skin may become dry. Some patients go straight back to work, while others prefer to schedule their treatment over the weekend.

    • 4+ hours post appointment use a gentle cleanser with cool water and pat dry with clean towel. Use gentle facial products for the next 5-7 days.

    • Do not take any anti-inflammatory medications such as: Ibuprofen, Motrin, and Advil. These agents will interfere with the natural inflammatory process that is critical and responsible for skin rejuvenation.

    • Within 2 days following your Micro needling procedure, you will notice skin dryness and flaking. This is due to an increased turnover of skin cells. During this time we recommend that you apply a hydrating moisturizer.

    • Avoid partaking in activities that will heat up your skin, such as going in a hot tub/Jacuzzi/sauna, taking a very hot shower, or strenuous exercise for 2 days after treatment.

    • Apply sunscreen daily and you can use makeup if needed starting the day after treatment.
